Players from TMI Episcopal, including the sons of then-head coach Monty Williams and Tim Duncan's son Draven, participated in those on-court drills. The structure for this year's clinic follows a similar successful blueprint.
Current Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson will address leadership, team culture, and competitive preparation. Lead assistant coach Billy Donovan will focus on program building, player development, and establishing a winning culture.
Assistant coach Mike Noyes will speak about teaching methods, coaching strategy, and designing purposeful practices. Player development assistant coach Jimmy Baron will share his expertise on shooting mechanics and skill development techniques applicable to all age groups.
While focused on coaching education, the clinic occurs against the backdrop of the Spurs' ongoing competitive schedule. The team's recent results include a tough 107-106 loss to the Knicks on June 11 and a 111-115 victory over the same opponent on June 9.
